I spend most of my time taking care of my reptiles, answering the phone/ emails, spending time with my wife and 2 kids and training in ATA Martial Arts. I am a full time Switchman for BNSF Railway, so that pretty much takes care of the rest of my time.
One thing that I
strongly believe in and encourage is education. It's the key to
keeping a healthy and happy reptile. Learn as much as you can about
the species of reptile (or amphibian) you are interested in. Learn
about it's natural habitat, proper enclosure size, feeding habits,
lighting and heating. Have the new enclosure
and all of the supplies needed ready for your selection before you
even purchase. Make sure the animal is right for you and you are
right for the animal. Many people buy spontaneously not thinking or
knowing what they're getting into.
